Obviamente, as condi\u00e7\u00f5es s\u00e3o muito diferentes das amostras obtidas atrav\u00e9s de um refrigerador de amostras que arrefece e neutraliza a amostra posteriormente (pH = 7). Os principais aspectos s\u00e3o a grande diferen\u00e7a de temperatura e o pH elevado.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Um aumento na temperatura resulta num aumento na condutividade el\u00e9ctrica. Para \u00e1gua de caldeira, a condutividade aumenta a uma taxa de aproximadamente 2% (do valor a 25\u00b0C) para cada 1\u00b0C de aumento de temperatura. Pequenas varia\u00e7\u00f5es na press\u00e3o da caldeira durante as varia\u00e7\u00f5es de carga t\u00eam apenas um efeito relativamente pequeno, mas se forem necess\u00e1rias leituras precisas do TDS em caldeiras que operam com press\u00f5es muito diferentes, a compensa\u00e7\u00e3o autom\u00e1tica da temperatura \u00e9 essencial.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"p1\"><b>Constante celular<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/b><\/h3>\n<p class=\"p1\">Uma sonda utilizada para medir a condutividade de um l\u00edquido tem uma \"constante celular\". O valor desta constante depende da disposi\u00e7\u00e3o f\u00edsica da sonda e do caminho el\u00e9trico atrav\u00e9s do l\u00edquido. Quanto mais longe a ponta da sonda estiver de qualquer parte da caldeira, mais alta \u00e9 a constante da c\u00e9lula. Se uma tens\u00e3o dc for aplicada \u00e0 sonda, pequenas bolhas de oxig\u00e9nio ou hidrog\u00e9nio formam-se na superf\u00edcie devido \u00e0 electr\u00f3lise da \u00e1gua.
