N\u00e3o \u00e9 recomendado que a amostra seja retirada dos visores de n\u00edvel ou das c\u00e2maras externas de controle, a \u00e1gua neles contida \u00e9 condensado quase puro formado pela condensa\u00e7\u00e3o cont\u00ednua de vapor no vidro\/c\u00e2mara externa.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Da mesma forma, as amostras recolhidas perto da conex\u00e3o de entrada de \u00e1gua de alimenta\u00e7\u00e3o da caldeira podem dar leituras falsas. Hoje, a maioria dos fabricantes de caldeiras instala uma conex\u00e3o de sopro TDS, e uma amostra representativa geralmente pode ser obtida neste local.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Se a \u00e1gua for simplesmente extra\u00edda da caldeira, parte dela ser\u00e1 violentamente re-evaporada \u00e0 medida que a sua press\u00e3o for reduzida. Para \u00e1gua natural, \u00e1gua de alimenta\u00e7\u00e3o e condensado a densidade relativa \u00e9 t\u00e3o pr\u00f3xima da da \u00e1gua pura que n\u00e3o pode ser medida satisfatoriamente usando um hidr\u00f4metro. Para \u00e1gua de caldeira, entretanto, um hidr\u00f4metro pode ser usado para obter uma medida aproximada de s\u00f3lidos dissolvidos, j\u00e1 que para \u00e1gua de caldeira, cada 0,0001 de aumento na densidade relativa a 15,5\u00b0C \u00e9 aproximadamente igual a 110 ppm.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">\u00c9 necess\u00e1rio um hidr\u00f4metro muito sens\u00edvel que precise de manuseio e uso cuidadoso para se obter uma medi\u00e7\u00e3o satisfat\u00f3ria do TDS. Para evitar a obten\u00e7\u00e3o de leituras falsas, deve ser verificado regularmente com \u00e1gua destilada.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h4 class=\"p3\"><b>M\u00e9todo de condutividade<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/b><\/h4>\n<p class=\"p1\">A condutividade el\u00e9trica da \u00e1gua tamb\u00e9m depende do tipo e da quantidade de s\u00f3lidos dissolvidos contidos. Uma vez que a acidez e a alcalinidade t\u00eam um grande efeito na condutividade el\u00e9ctrica, \u00e9 necess\u00e1rio neutralizar a amostra de \u00e1gua da caldeira antes de medir a sua condutividade. O procedimento \u00e9 o seguinte:<\/p>\n<ul class=\"ul1\">\n<li class=\"li1\">Adicione algumas gotas de solu\u00e7\u00e3o indicadora de fenolftale\u00edna \u00e0 amostra resfriada (&lt;25\u00b0C).<\/li>\n<li class=\"li1\">Se a amostra for alcalina, obt\u00e9m-se uma cor p\u00farpura forte.<\/li>\n<li class=\"li1\">Adicionar \u00e1cido ac\u00e9tico (normalmente 5%) gota a gota
